Ready to increase your economic self-sufficiency and focus on your financial goals?
Financial Wellness for Women is a 10-week comprehensive, in-person, financial education program focusing on building healthy financial habits through goal-setting, budgeting, credit management, and long-term financial planning.
Participants are paired with a volunteer mentor offering individualized support and encouragement to address unique goals and challenges.
Program Participants will:
- Learn new skills like goal-setting, budgeting, credit repair, and saving.
- Develop good money management habits.
- Gain insight about banking, credit scores, investing and more.
- Connect with other women and build a supportive network.
- Increase confidence and reduce financial anxiety.
Program Details & Requirements:
- A 10-week workshop series.
- Workshops take place in the evening and last 1.5 hours. (On-site childcare and a light dinner are available on workshop evenings.)
- Participants are paired with a volunteer mentor to support their journey.
- Participants are expected to attend each week and work with their volunteer coach on personal goals between sessions.
Participant & Mentor Partnership:
- Mentors attend workshops each week alongside participants.
- Mentor and participant connect 1:1 between workshops to work on the participant's personal financial goals.
What to Expect from the Workshops:
- Each workshop is designed to increase knowledge and skills on a specific topic and incorporate interactive exercises to apply learnings.
- Participants and mentors are encouraged to share ideas, insight, and experiences for community-based learning.
- Presenters from local financial institutions and backgrounds address questions from the group.
