Investing in Women
Women United uses its collective power to elevate and strengthen women through education, action, and philanthropy. We are committed to women's financial security, a key impact area of United Way of Greater New Bedford. By investing in financial education for women, we are increasing financial stability and economic self-sufficiency through increased knowledge, skills and confidence around money management.
Financial Wellness for Women was developed in partnership with local bankers and financial planners with input from financial literacy program graduates and coaches. This 10-week, in-person, financial education program focuses on building healthy financial habits through goal-setting, budgeting, credit management, and long-term financial planning.
Participants, paired with a volunteer mentor, receive individualized support and encouragement through a team approach that addresses unique goals and challenges.
Financial Wellness for Women is an educational approach to help women achieve their personal financial goals and build generational wealth.
