
Are you interested in supporting your community with a commitment that works easily around your family and work schedule? Become a United Way of Greater New Bedford Community Impact Grant reviewer.
An all-volunteer Grant Review Committee comprised of community members reads, scores, and evaluates the grant proposals. The committee reviews applications, interviews potential grantees, evaluates applications, and makes funding recommendations. Reviewers utilize an Community Impact Grant rubric in the grant software, Community Force, to evaluate the applications.
Volunteers must be able to adhere to the timeline below. Grant Review Committee volunteers are vetted and confirmed to ensure no conflict of interest. Click here to apply by March 31st.
Grant Committee Timeline:
- May 1: Orientation and Grant Committee review of applications

Week of May 20: Grant Review Committee conducts applicant site visits/interviews.
- Week of June 2: Grant Committee deliberates and selects grantees.
