Victoria has worked for United Way since 2009, when she started as an intern while earning her Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Bridgewater State University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Westfield State University.
A New Bedford native, she loves the culture and diversity of the region and believes in the value of collaboration by community organizations working to help people in need and improve life in the City of New Bedford.
She spent a college semester in Washington, D.C. working with Congressmen from different areas in the country. She was there just after Hurricane Katrina, and among her clients was a Congressman from one of the hardest hit districts in Louisiana and assisted in planning a large fundraiser for the hurricane relief.
She earned a Silver Award and coveted Gold Award (the highest honor awarded) with Girls Scouts. She volunteers with EforAll SouthCoast and WFA. She also serves on the board of Mass 211.
She enjoys crafting, spending time with her nephews and goddaughters, and travel. She has visited 46 of the 50 states.
