At United Way of Greater New Bedford, our volunteers are the heart of everything we do - and few embody that spirit quite like Guy Tringali of Wareham, MA.
Guy’s journey with United Way began in a meaningful way. He first connected with us by coming to a Mobile Market to access food support. Before long, Guy was asking an important question: How can I give back? That moment speaks volumes about who he is and the generosity he brings to everything he does.
For several years now, Guy has been a dedicated United Way volunteer, and his positive energy and strong sense of community have made him a perfect fit for UWGNB. He’s volunteered at Day of Caring, Mobile Markets, and Hunger Heroes, always showing up ready to help and encourage those around him.
If you’ve ever attended Hunger Heroes, you definitely know Guy - even if you didn’t know his name. He’s the one getting volunteers to show off their best dance moves as they move through the packing line, keeping the energy high and reminding everyone that doing good can be fun, too.
Guy’s commitment to giving back extends beyond United Way. In addition to volunteering with us, he has also spent time supporting the community at Sharing the Harvest Community Farm at the Dartmouth YMCA, further demonstrating his dedication to helping others wherever he can.
Guy has truly become family here at United Way, and we are incredibly lucky to have him. His story is a powerful reminder that community support comes full circle and that when one person steps up, the impact can be felt far and wide.
Thank you, Guy, for all that you do.
