United Way Announces Campaign Cabinet

United Way of Greater New Bedford’s 68th campaign has enlisted a team of dedicated local professionals to serve on the Campaign Cabinet to raise money and awareness for the organization. Nicole Almeida, SVP/Chief Diversity Officer at BayCoast Bank, is leading this year’s campaign, which began in the fall.

“I am honored to support the team at United Way of Greater New Bedford as the campaign chair,” said Almeida. “I’m inspired by the work they do every day and am excited to lead the campaign to further the impact of United Way in our region.”

Joining Almeida on the Campaign Cabinet are Jimmy Costa, BankFive; Owen Downey, BayCoast Bank; Bill Eccles, retired BankFive CEO; Don Hartley, OceanPoint Investment Solutions; David Hutchinson, BayCoast Bank; Alaina McNickles, First Citizens’ Federal Credit Union; Michael O’Leary, BayCoast Bank; Kim Perry, Rock Funeral Home; and Elizabeth Voss, BayCoast Bank.

Those community-minded volunteers have been reaching out to their personal and professional networks, discussing strategy to promote United Way, and helping launch the Business United Circle, a campaign to engage small businesses who want to make an impact in Greater New Bedford. Based on what we’ve accomplished thus far, we anticipate having another extremely successful campaign year.”
