We’re partnering with Fun 107 and WBSM this Thanksgiving for the Hunger Heroes Food Drop! This food drive has been held every year at Buttonwood Park, and has continuously helped United Way of Greater New Bedford collect food for the Hunger Heroes Project to package 1,000 Thanksgiving meals for our community.
In previous years, the community has dropped off food by the truckloads and we hope to get even more this year. Just stop by 1 Oneida Street, New Bedford to drop off your items and we will take it from there!
Volunteers will sort through the donations right on site. Our goal is to collect enough food for 1,000 Thanksgiving Day meals.
When: Saturday, November 12th , 10am - 12 pm
Where: Buttonwood Park Warming House, 1 Oneida St., New Bedford
What we need:
- Canned vegetables,
- Instant mashed potatoes
- Cranberry sauce
- Cornbread mix
- Gravy (no glass please)
