Heather M. Bonnet-Hébert’s practice is primarily focused on representing plaintiffs in complex civil litigation, including business and real estate litigation and cases involving serious personal injuries, wrongful death, medical negligence, civil rights violations, and vaccine injuries. She has been selected by her peers for inclusion in the 2016-2018 New England “Super Lawyers” list and the 2013-2014 “Rising Stars” list for her work in representing Plaintiffs in civil litigation. Ms. Bonnet-Hébert is the owner and managing shareholder of Feingold Bonnet-Hébert, P.C., a boutique law firm deeply rooted in historic New Bedford and the surrounding SouthCoast community. Since joining Feingold Bonnet-Hébert, P.C., she has expanded her practice to include real estate development, land use, individual and business transactions, estate planning, settlement trust planning, and professional trustee services. Prior to joining Feingold Bonnet-Hébert, P.C. (formerly Robert B. Feingold & Associates, P.C.) in October 2018, Ms. Bonnet-Hébert enjoyed practicing law for nearly twelve years with her colleagues and fellow trial lawyers at Mandell, Boisclair & Mandell in Providence, Rhode Island.
Ms. Bonnet-Hébert graduated from Rhodes College in 1996 with a B.A. in English. In 2004, she received her J.D., cum laude from Vermont Law School where she was Editor-in-Chief of the Vermont Law Review; a member of the VLS Moot Court Advisory Board; and a Dean’s Fellow teaching legal research and writing to first-year law students as well as masters-level environmental law students.
In addition to her role as a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater New Bedford, Ms. Bonnet-Hébert is a member of Tifereth Israel Congregation in New Bedford, Massachusetts and a past member of its Board of Directors. She was also recently elected to serve as Treasurer of the New Bedford Bar Association. She is an avid supporter of a number of community, genealogical, and animal-rescue organizations including the Buzzards Bay Coalition, Coastal Neighbors Network, JewishGen, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, and Vested Interests in K9s, Inc., an organization dedicated to providing bullet and stab resistant vests to working K-9 Police Officers around the country.
Ms. Bonnet-Hébert relishes the opportunity to delve into projects that expand her knowledge well beyond the legal field – she has built computers, completed a transmission conversion on an old Jeep CJ-7, rebuilt a Piper J-3 Cub airplane with her grandfather, and undergone training in marksmanship and responsible gun ownership. Additionally, Heather has a keen interest in using technology to increase law firm efficiency and security. A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Heather lives with her wife and their two dogs and two cats in Dartmouth, Massachusetts.
