Andrea Amaral Rodrigues is a marketing and communications executive with over 20 years of experience, currently serving as the First Vice President, Director of Marketing Programs & Community
Relations at BankFive. With deep expertise in strategic marketing, public relations, brand management, and corporate giving, Andrea leads a talented team focused on elevating BankFive’s visibility, deepening its community partnerships, and delivering high-impact campaigns aligned with business and civic priorities.

Throughout her 16-year tenure at BankFive, Andrea has developed and executed award-winning marketing programs and philanthropic initiatives. She serves as Chair of the Bank’s Charitable Giving Committee and oversees the BankFive Foundation in partnership with the SouthCoast Community Foundation.

Under her leadership, BankFive has received several recognitions, including being the recipient of the 2023, 2024, and 2025 Corporate Citizenship Award for its regional impact and leadership in community support.

Andrea holds both an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she was also honored with the 2023 Alumni Volunteer Service Award for her exceptional commitment to public service and mentorship.

Her community leadership extends across the South Coast. She serves as a Corporator of the SouthCoast Community Foundation and currently sits on its Scholarship Committee, having previously served on the Grants Distribution and Arts & Culture committees. Andrea has also served on the boards of Leadership SouthCoast and the UMass Dartmouth Center for Marketing Research, and is a member of the Steering Committee for People Incorporated’s Investing Together Capital Campaign, which is helping to fund a new preschool facility in Fall River.

A cornerstone of Andrea’s purpose-driven work is her long-standing relationship with the United Way of Greater New Bedford. She began her involvement as a Loaned Executive in 2009 and has since remained a dedicated volunteer, serving on the Campaign Cabinet, Women United, and participating in countless community programs. Her hands-on service includes volunteering at the Hunger Heroes initiative, the Mobile Market, Baby Bundles, the Community Baby Shower, and as a presenter for Financial Wellness for Women. Whether supporting young families, promoting financial literacy, or advocating for early childhood development, Andrea continues to be a passionate and visible force for good across the South Coast region.
