                                     COMMUNITY BUILDING MINI-GRANTS PROGRAM

                              2008 Mini-Grants Awards Recipients

The United Way of Greater New Bedford's Community Building Mini-Grants Program is the only local program to support all-volunteer grassroots efforts that improve community life through grant making, skill-building workshops, and networking opportunities. The program, which is free and open to all volunteer groups, provides funds for projects that improve the quality of community life and address locally identified concerns and issues.

The Mini-Grants Program had a record-breaking year, recently awarding nearly $44,000 - the most ever - to 45 local all volunteer based groups, marking the largest group of recipients in the program’s 13 year history.

For more info or to register, contact Claudia Kirk, Program Director, at 508-994-9625, ext. 13 or via e-mail at ckirk@unitedwayofgnb.org.
